András Kovács Wildlife Photography | International Nature Photographer
Official portfolio of András Kovács, internationally recognized wildlife photographer. Nature and wildlife photography from Europe and beyond.
I was around fifteen or sixteen when I first held a camera with the intention of “hunting” wild animals—not with a weapon, but with my lens. In the beginning, it was all about learning and spending time outdoors in a way that was both enjoyable and often exhausting. Over time, however, what started as a hobby slowly began to evolve into something more—a way of life. Two years later, I captured the first photograph truly worth mentioning, one that remains a cherished memory to this day: a red deer stag caught in the very moment of shedding its antlers as it ran across a forest clearing. That image went on to win the annual nature photography competition organized by Magyar Vadászlap and appeared on the magazine’s cover. I think it’s fair to say that was the moment my fate was sealed. Since then, with both personal growth and the advancement of technology, I’ve been fortunate to capture many memorable moments in the forests and meadows of Hungary. Here on my website, I share the images that mean the most to me—the ones that tell the stories of the wild places and creatures that continue to inspire me.
